Ventilating clay roof tiles

The ventilation of the roof and the roofing construction is important because it preserves the roof’s quality and its life span for as long as possible. In the times when the attic spaces are mostly used as living areas, the over-heating of the attic is prevented with air circulation, which simultaneously removes the resulting condensation.
Ventilating clay roof tiles provide better ventilated, healthier and cooler attic spaces during the summer and drier attic spaces during the winter.

They can be used on wooden as well as cement roof constructions, since they contribute to the substantial increase of air circulation underneath the clay roof tiles.
If the ridge is fastened with mortar, it cannot be used for ventilating the roof. In this case, the roof can be ventilated with ventilating clay roof tiles.
